Somdot products include a one-year limited commercial warranty for confirmed defects caused by materials, workmanship or manufacturing. Damage caused after delivery by accident, misuse, incorrect assembly or other non-manufacturing causes is not eligible for a free warranty remedy, but replacement parts and practical support may be available for purchase.
1. Warranty overview
The warranty applies to the original purchaser and the product covered by the proof of purchase. The warranty period is not extended merely because we inspect a claim or provide support, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
2. Free warranty coverage
During the one-year warranty period, free warranty service is available when our assessment confirms that the problem was caused by a factory or manufacturing issue. Examples may include defective materials, faulty workmanship, incorrectly manufactured components, or a structural component that fails during normal intended use because of a manufacturing defect.
Damage present at delivery, missing parts and incorrect parts should be reported promptly. After verification, Somdot will provide the appropriate free remedy required by this warranty or applicable law. Depending on the issue, this may be a replacement part, repair solution, product replacement, authorised return, price reduction or refund.
A free return or replacement must be approved by Somdot before shipment. We will provide the correct return address, label or other instructions when a return is necessary. Do not send products to our registered office.
3. What is not covered for free
The limited warranty does not provide free replacement, return or repair for damage that is not caused by a factory or manufacturing defect. This includes:
- accidental impact, dropping, collision, liquid exposure, fire, pets or other external events;
- damage caused by incorrect assembly, missing assembly steps, unsuitable tools or failure to follow the instructions;
- misuse, overloading, improper storage, commercial use where the product is intended for household use, or use outside the stated purpose;
- unauthorised modification, disassembly, repair or use of incompatible replacement parts;
- ordinary wear and tear, cosmetic deterioration, scratches, stains, fading, or expected variation in colour, grain or natural materials; and
- claims made after the one-year commercial warranty period, unless a mandatory legal right still applies.
We assess the cause of each issue from the information available. If the evidence does not establish a factory or manufacturing defect, we may offer a paid solution instead of a free warranty remedy.
4. Paid replacement parts and support
We understand that accidents happen. If damage is customer-caused, excluded from the limited warranty, or occurs after the warranty period, you may still contact us for assistance. Where compatible stock and delivery service are available, we may offer individual components, hardware kits or other replacement parts for purchase.
For example, if a drawer is broken by accidental impact or another non-manufacturing cause, you may ask us to quote for one replacement drawer instead of replacing the entire product. The quotation may include the part price, packaging, shipping, taxes or duties and any other disclosed service cost.
Paid parts and support are subject to product model, colour, production changes, inventory and shipping availability. We will confirm the item and total charge before payment. Please do not make a payment or return an item until Customer Support sends written instructions.
5. How to request warranty or paid support
- Contact Customer Support or email help@somdothome.com.
- State whether you are requesting a warranty review or a quotation for a paid replacement part.
- Provide your order number, product name or SKU, delivery date, affected component and a clear description of how the issue occurred.
- Attach photographs or video showing the full product, the affected area, assembly condition, packaging and shipping label where relevant.
- Keep the product until we complete the assessment and provide written instructions.
Do not send a product to our registered office. If a return is required, we will provide the correct return address and instructions after approving the request.
6. Assessment and remedies
We may request additional evidence, troubleshooting steps or a reasonable inspection to determine the cause. When a factory or manufacturing defect is confirmed within the warranty period, Somdot will provide an appropriate free remedy. The remedy may include a replacement component, repair solution, product replacement, authorised return, price reduction or refund, depending on the defect, product availability and applicable law.
If the issue is not covered for free, we may send a written paid-service quotation. No paid part will be dispatched until the customer accepts the quotation and completes any required payment.
7. Your legal rights
This one-year limited warranty is a commercial warranty offered in addition to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Products must still match their description, be of satisfactory or acceptable quality, and be fit for any purpose we expressly accepted, as required by applicable law.
Statutory protection varies by location. EU consumers generally receive at least a two-year legal guarantee for faulty or non-conforming goods; additional rights may apply in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada and other markets. Nothing on this page limits those mandatory rights, and we will not charge a customer merely for exercising a mandatory consumer remedy.
